It’s been an exciting week leading up to the kickoff of ALS Awareness Month! Yesterday the FDA approved a new medication for ALS called Qalsody. It’s the fourth ever approved drug and the first for gene specific mutations of ALS.
May is ALS Awareness Month in the US and, in partnership with Her ALS Story, Brainstorm Cell Therapeutics, and ALS TDI, we’re hosting the 2nd Annual Fight ALS Film Fest.
Week 1: Go On Be Brave, with a panel discussion including Andrea and Dave Peet, Filmmakers Miriam McSpadden and Brian Beckman. This is a film about Her ALS Story member Andrea Lytle Peet’s race against time-a diagnosis of ALS and an attempt at the impossible: to be the first person with ALS to complete a marathon in all 50 States.
Hope to see y’all there!
