This weekend was nothing short of epic. Read more on the backstory of this weekend here.
Kacy and Jess got here Thursday, and we immediately went to have Mexican food – it’s a staple for this bunch. We got up Friday and made this beautiful, delicious, easy casserole that was a life saver for all of us – and mimosas of course.
Ashley and Jaci finally arrived Friday morning and we loaded up for massages. It’s hard to beat massage date with four of your best friends, and all agreed that it was exactly what each of us needed. Also, we hit Ulta while we were out and got our eyebrows ready for the weekend. Casey and Amanda joined us that afternoon and we set out to Friday on the Green at Magnolia Park. We took the scooter and quickly learned that it’s not made for off-roading and when it’s done, it’s done. Everyone got a turn at pushing it across the intersection and the reward of Melt ice cream made it all worth while.
OITNB released Friday so we squeezed in as much binge watching as possible. We kicked Kenneth to the golf course which was met with zero arguments and off we went to the salon.
Lisa Girl arrived Saturday morning so that I could surprise the girls with wash, blowdry, and styles with Lori Payne-Villari so that we would be camera ready for our date with Scott and Eric from FW Inc. At the place where Lori’s salon is, we also met Cami who owns Fort Worth Nails Salon. It was a busy morning getting 7 of the 8 of us in, out and on our way but we were treated like royalty and loved every second of it.
Go see Cami and Lori, tell them Sunny sent you, you will not be disappointed.
Topgolf Fort Worth was amazing. Not one of us can swing a club, except maybe Ashley who cheated and played golf in high school, but competitiveness runs high with this bunch. Lack of ability gives way to a freefrawl that must resort in heckling, name calling, and accusations of cheating. It wasn’t a pretty day for the game of golf, but we had fun and looked great doing it.
Ashley the cheater

Marla (Lisa) our homerun hitter
Me bringing up the rear and racking up all of the pity points.
From there we danced our way to dinner downtown
which obviously lead to arm wrestling
then later got us to Studio 80 which was exactly how we wanted to end our evening. We were the dancing queens.
Phil loved meeting the girls and held his own against the vodka and dance floor.
Sundays are always the hardest, saying goodbye is never fun. Rumor is that one day we’re going to start a compound where we all live together with our husbands/wives, children and pets. These girls are my foundation, the light of my life. Thankfully, Kenneth loves them as much as I do, which makes weekends like this even better. We both missed everyone after they left, and he mentioned more than once how much he loved having the girls here.
I could not do life without these crazy girls. God knew exactly what he was doing when he brought them into my life.
We rounded out the weekend with taking Baloo for some training with Barb and Alice. Read more about Idea Service Dogs here.
Love always win with our bunch, not ALS, not curveballs that life throws at us, not arguments, not difference of opinions. Love. Love is the glue that keeps us together, keeps us coming back for more crazy weekends together, and what helps us help each other through life. These girls are my definition of love.
