It’s gonna be Maaaaaaay! Well technically it already is May, but now we’re all singing Justin Timberlake. SunnyStrong is in the business of raising awareness for ALS and by golly we’re doing just that. I have to tell you how full my heart is from sharing the love and memories that are already pouring from this community. The creativity and emotions invested in each post are empowering.
It wasn’t that long ago that May brought more heartache than encouragement, more tears than smiles. It was physically exhausting to share about this disease, to accept the outpouring of love from friends and family, to process what was guaranteed from this disease – the uncertainty of my future. By leaning into this community of fighters, we are stronger together. I’ve learned that the stories and memories are shared with the intent to cause change and empower others.
So, I’m here to encourage you to share your story, share my story, lean in and give life to this journey. You are not alone. Tell us about your friend who lived bravely with ALS. Show us pictures of the way you remember them, or something that they enjoyed. Connect your current fighter with a community that welcomes everyone with open arms. We’re stronger together, we’re better for our shared experiences.
