Team SunnyStrong: Are YOU ready to Walk to Defeat ALS?

We are meeting in the parking lot on the corner of University and Morton next to Capital Bar at 8:45 AM for a Team Picture on Saturday.

We will walk to registration together (info below) to check in. Please register online before 3PM Friday.

Immediately following the walk we will meet at Capital Bar for the after party. Everything is family friendly. Can’t walk with us? Join us for the party anyway! Good food, cold drinks, great patio for watching college football: A&M/Auburn game is at 11, Bedlam game starts at 3, TCU/Texas is at 615.

ALSA Info for Saturday

Date: Saturday | November 4, 2017

Check-in Starts: 9:00 A.M.

Walk Starts: 10:00 A.M.

Location: Trinity Park

Participant Parking: Participants will park at the Ferrington Field parking lot on the corner of Lancaster and Foch Street. After parking, walk down Foch and take a right on Trinity Park Drive. Signs and volunteers will direct you to the park.

Wheelchair Accessible Parking: Wheelchair parking is available within the park at Pavilion 3 on Trinity Park Drive. If spots are full, people can be dropped off in front of Pavilion 3.

Registration/Check in: At registration/check in, you will be able to turn in donations that you may have collected and get your t-shirts. ALL WALKERS need to check in! Online registration will close Friday afternoon at 3 p.m., so if you miss the cut off, you must register at the event. We will have record of all online donations made through 3 p.m. Friday afternoon. If online donations are collected after that, please let us know at the registration tent so we can properly record them.

T-shirts: Each walker who raises $75 or more on Walk Day will be eligible for an official Walk to Defeat ALS t-shirt. When you check in, a volunteer will hand you a ticket that you will bring to the t-shirt tent.

Pet policy: Dogs are welcome on leashes!

•Please bring a photo, quote, or special memory to share on our “Why We Walk” banner. This special way to honor your loved ones is a favorite attraction every year.

• The more, the merrier! Invite your colleagues, neighbors, donors, family, and friends to the Walk!

Thank you for all your efforts in fundraising and raising awareness for those living with ALS. With just a few days left until we walk, there is still time to ask friends and family that may still want to support your efforts to donate. Try posting to Facebook or sending an email with a challenge of twenty $10 donations! Make it easy and fun for your friends and remind them that your event is this weekend.
