Meet my friend Jake Richter.

In his regular life he’s a Financial Advisor for Edward Jones, father of two, dress up aficionado, actively involved in the Fort Worth community, and husband to his gorgeous wife, Breinn.

I first me Jake through Junior Achievement in his role on the Board of Directors. I first realized how much I adored Jake after seeing a picture similar to this one. I knew I loved him when he was so excited that JA Bowlathon’s include dressing up for the event.

During my time with JA, Jake became a friend, my “go to” person for random questions. Now he has jumped head first into Adventures for SunnyStrong.  Jake is fun, a free spirit, and has completely lost his mind. You see, from July 27 – 30 Jake will be competing in the Ouray 100.

• 52 hour cutoff

Can you even imagine? Have you ever done anything in your life that has a 52 hour cutoff? Holy Guacamole! I think it’s safe to say that Jake is truly a SunnyStrong crazy and has a heart of gold.

Jake is taking care of the hard part, it’s our job to support him through his training, travel to Colorado, and race. He has promised to up his social media game so that you can meet and love him like I do. I will be sharing his training posts and fun facts about our real life Superman. We will track and support him during the race, and I’ll keep you guys posted on how we’re going to best accomplish that.

Jake is competing in the name of ALS Awareness and in support of SunnyStrong.
