Rarely do I give instructions for reading the blogs but it is IMPERATIVE that you listen to the video above before reading, while reading, after reading, on continuous repeat and everyday for the rest of eternity. Not too much to ask, right?
Ladies and Gentlemen, LET’S GET READY TO RUMBLE! (Get Get Get Ready Ready Ready to RUMBLE!) JOCK JAMS! Ya’ll ready for this?
I grew up playing sports, heck Mom played softball during the early months of her pregnancies and we learned to squat at the field. Sports are in our DNA. When you’re tall in a small town you play every sport, it’s just the way it goes. Naturally I worked for the Intramural department in college and most of my life long friends were found there. Almost all of my girlfriends are coaches, and our schedules are regularly dictated by what sport season it is and whether it’s a home or away game. I’m looking forward to being on their same summer schedule for the first time ever.

My Jaci
Whoomp there it is! Hitman! Pump up the Jam, Yo Pump it Up, Yo Pump it! This is Your Night! Be Aggressive, B-E Aggressive! HIT IT! Ya’ll ready for this?
So about 4 months ago, Jaci asked me to keep January 16th available for her. Dutifully I obliged and asked very few question. With Thanksgiving and Christmas on the horizon, January seemed as foreign on the schedule as retirement or turning 40. A few weeks later she filled me in on the first piece of the puzzle: ALS Awareness Night at the Tolar vs. Peaster game.
WHOOMP I like to move it move it! WHOOMP There it is! Move it! WHOOMP I like to move it move it! Give it up, girl!
Backstory: Jaci played for this cute, young coach in high school at Eastland and when the cute, young coach became the cute, young, Head Coach at Tolar she called Jaci and coached Jaci into being her Assistant. Then the cute, young, Head Coach became the cute, young, Head Coach at Peaster and Jaci became the new cute, young, Head Coach at Tolar. In case you missed it, these Head Coaches are pretty cute.

On January 16th when the Tolar Lady Rattlers take on the Peaster Lady Hounds, guess who is announcing the starting lineup? Starts with a M and ends with an EEEEEEEEEE! I’m so excited that I can barely stand it! Pretty stink’n cool that my cute, young Coach friends are bringing awareness to this disease in a way that impacts the students and families they work with on a daily basis. I’m just excited to be a part of their greatness.

Obviously I asked the first question on everyone’s mind: Do I get to sing the National Anthem? She said no, and that it wasn’t up for discussion though we all know I tried, HARD, to change her mind. But the reality is, if I’m holding the mic, is she going to stop me if I just bust it out? I’m practicing just in case 🙂

We’re doing cake auctions, we’re doing donations, we’re spreading awareness in every form and fashion that’s legal at high school basketball games. PuckettPro printed shirts for each team in their respective school color to wear while warming up. These shirts were created with a “school friendly” design since “sucks” isn’t school appropriate. Also, these shirts will be available in the SunnyStrong Store for the 2018 events. In the meantime, be sure to check out the other SunnyStrong items in the store!
