Sunday night I got to return to the program that got me where I am today. Upward Bound is a program that I’ve blogged about on many different occasions, and before I was “Dorm Mom Sunny” I worked for the UB program at Weatherford College. Sunday evening brought all of my worlds together on one stage where we discussed ALS, awareness, life and how Cupcake is always right.
Pretty sure nothing I rambled about made sense or was of any importance but we introduced the movie Gleason to the students which will teach them about living life to the fullest. Add it to your list if you haven’t seen it yet. And one of the students gave an awesome presentation of ALS research she completed last summer at a similar program to UB. NBD, she’s attending Stanford in the Fall
Always fun to spend time with my Kahlden crew, too! Family pictures take work:
We also hit a milestone this weekend: we are officially on Round 10 of Radicava Ridiculousness. Exciting stuff in our little world. And to celebrate, Kenneth and I are running off to our first Cancun trip of the summer to get Jaci and Brennan married!
