10.29.21 ALS Walk in Hico

Tomorrow is our SEVENTH Walk to Defeat ALS! This week we’ve been looking back on our previous walks on social media.

Team SunnyStrong 2015

It was cold and rainy in Dallas but we showed up and represented at our first #alstexaswalk 9 months after my diagnosis, our first big event on this journey.

This time in FW, it was a complete rain out so we celebrated at a bar (yippee) and these are the ones who stood still for a pic at our second #alstexaswalk 1 year and 9 months after my diagnosis, and just shy of a month before i got married. oh the things i could tell that girl 💜

Team SunnyStrong 2017

It was a gorgeous day with great friends and family at our third #alstexaswalk 2 years and 9 months after my diagnosis, my favorite picture of the day was with Tom Fruge. we miss him so much

Team SunnyStrong 2018

We Willie hit our stride and had ALL the purple balloons at our fourth #alstexaswalk 3 years and 9 months after my diagnosis, i had stopped working and fell hard the morning of this walk in my kitchen 🤦🏻‍♀️

Team SunnyStrong 2019

We had a HUGE turnout and Cass got so excited she gave me sweet Franklin the day after our fifth #alstexaswalk 4 years and 9 months after my diagnosis, this walk was the last of many things: my marriage, in FW, and life as we all knew pre-pandemic

Team SunnyStrong 2020

this walk was my favorite to date because we got to spotlight everything that makes Hico, Texas special at our sixth #alstexaswalk 5 years and 9 months after my diagnosis, i had outlived the predictions and am still defining my idea of normal

i’m thankful today and every day for the love and support y’all continue to pour over me 🌻 excited to see you THIS Saturday at the Walk to Defeat ALS in HICO!
